Will I get credit when others use my data?

Of course we cannot guarantee that users of your data will credit you appropriately. This holds true for any kind of publication, such as papers and source codes. Nevertheless, usually users of your data will be honest.

We will make it as easy as possible for users of your data to reference you in their work. That is, as long as you want them to. This means of course that you have to provide referenceable information along with your data. You could do so for instance by providing a bibtex-file, the DOI of a publication, the URL of your homepage or simply your name. Anything that allows others to associate the data with you or your work group.

If you however want to upload your data anonymously or using a pseudonym, you are of course free to do so. Click here to read, why uploading data anonymously may be interesting for some people.
